them. This is done so that the llvm target will be able to derive from
the tcpu*def/sym classes without umpteen ifdefs, and it also means that
the WPO can devirtualise everything because the c* variables are only
initialised with one class type

as the hidden parentfp parameter, passed to nested procs. On i8086 it is
always a near pointer, unlike voidpointer (which changes according to the

now that there is no special assigned handling anymore, because the
generic "<>nil" code for method pointers loads the "proc" field
via an internally generated tmethod() typecast (using the
methodpointer type). Additionally, not loading this type was
an artefact from the time that it wasn't available yet for the
JVM target

a win64 compiler support the x87 types extended and comp/currency handled by the FPU, this
requires to use a i386 compiler as starting compiler and cross compilation because the starting
compiler must support the 80 bit extended type
