7821d729cd + a very basic test for correctness for the various simplifications, implemented 
today. It does not check for side effects and thus it should work at any
  optimization level, regardless of whether each optimization is done or not.

1d301b6dbe More consequent writing of Rtti. Part of code related to recorddef moved from recorddef_rtti to write_child_data_rtti(). When typeinfo is used in code init Rtti is a child of the full Rtti. Commit also contains correction for code commited for mantis #31249 (r35376) and mantis #31305 (r35377) for objects. Before was impossible to compile code with usage of typeinfo() function for object without managed fields ("Undefined symbol" error).

70817baf98 * since we already allow inline specializations in mode ObjFPC due to generic functions it's only consequential to also allow specializations after pointers (they are already allowed in mode Delphi).

051317e82e * load the function result from the parentfpstruct to its original location 
in exit nodes, because the wrapping code added in
    tnodeutils.wrap_proc_body() gets inserted before the exit label to which
    the exit node jumps

35f8d5427f Revert r31262. Not doing type checking on generics leads to strange warnings (e.g. because variables are not considered as written). I better deal with the compile time errors one at a time than the warnings. 
The added test shows such a bogus warning (sadly the test suite can handle the occurence or absense of certain messages yet :/ )

4da9296f80 * disabled the name mangling of external non-cdecl and non-cppdecl procedures 
that don't have an import name specified explicitly. The previous behaviour
  wasn't very useful, because it included the current module name in the mangled
  name and that was very unlikely to be the correct name of a routine in a
  different module. The new behaviour is also BP7 and Delphi compatible.

adeb8c93e9 * Set pi_do_call flag explicitly when procedure has a parameter or local var that require finalization. Normally it is set by implicit try..finally node, but this node is absent when compiling in {$implicitexceptions off} mode. This may cause internal errors in pass 2 if pi_do_call has not been set by other means. 
Fixes IE when compiling Lazarus for MIPS target.

adc8cdb5af * Calling tlabelsym.mangledname should not define the label. This was causing "already defined" errors if a label was referenced before it was defined.

+ Check duplicate labels in assembler blocks. This was impossible due to above bug and duplicate labels were detected only at assembling stage where no location information could be provided.

2c93687c5a Fix an embarrasing error in m68k which fixes 60 tests. 
m68k/cgcpu.pas, tcg68k.g_flags2reg:
  * don't sign extend the flag value which was stored to the register, but instead do a "AND 1" on it to reduce it to 1 bit; afterall Booleans in Pascal are either 0 or 1 and not 0 or $FF

3c3ad705f1 * changed fpc_(u)char_to_shortstr() from a procedure into a function, like 
the other fpc_(u)char_to_*str() routines (exception dates back to the
    time calls to these routines were still inserted "manually" in the
    compiler). Fixes the compilation of "shortstr:=widecharconstant" after
    r23613 and simplifies other code calling this helper + test

2e186a91fa Add support for integer constants to SetPEFlags and SetPEOptFlags. This is Delphi compatible. 
scandir.pas:
  + add function "get_peflag_const" to retrieve the value of a constant
  * dir_setpeflags & dir_setpeoptflags: first check for an identifier (value is retrieved through "get_peflag_const") and then read a value

+ added messages for illegal parameters for SetPEFlags and SetPEOptFlags respectively

5e7e9bd4dc * Disabled test for win64: it cannot link or even assemble correctly on this target because COFF uses 32-bit fields for section sizes/RVAs. Internal assembler ignoring this fact is a separate issue to fix.

30247d8961 * MIPS: fixed parameter handling for big-endian targets, and removed a lot of garbage. 
* Parameters passed in registers are no longer forced to stack, therefore assembler routines using 'lw' instruction to load such parameters must have it changed to 'move' (tb0072.pp).

* Implemented { %DELFILES file1 file2 ... } directive for tests. Primarily it is needed to delete shared libraries used by tests when TEST_DELTEMP=1. When testing on a real Android device, it is not good to run tests on flash memory partitions. Android devices have 1Mb RAM based tempfs partition for /tmp folder, which is ideal for running tests. Since 1Mb is very small size these days, it is needed to clean all test leftovers. Test shared libraries are the biggest leftovers and this new DELFILES directive will help to delete them.
* During remote execution, use && as a command separator after important commands such as CD to ensure that the command succeeded before running other commands. Group other commands using curly braces { }.

* I've found that libc on Android does not implement widechar case functions such as towupper(). Such functions are just wrappers over regular char functions. Therefore the whole cwstring unit is useless for Android. For now I've added stub cwstring unit for Android and reverted all Android specific changes in unix/cwstring.pp. Later, Unicode manager for Androud should be implemented using libicuuc, which is default Android lib.

b5827ce363 Move the handling of "misstyled" floating point constants like "2." or "2.e10" from the scanner to the parser. This way type helpers calls for integer constants can be parsed correctly in the future. 
Note: the error messages for incorrect "misstyled" floating point numbers (e.g. "2e10foo") have changed because of this.

scanner.pas, tscannerfile.readtoken:
  instead of tokenizing "2.", "2.e10", "2.e+10" and "2.e-10" as "_REALNUMBER" tokenize them as "_INTCONST _POINT", "_INTCONST _POINT _ID", "_INTCONST _POINT _ID _PLUS _INTCONST" "_INTCONST _POINT _ID _PLUS _INTCONST"; tokenizing of normal floating constants is not changed

pexpr.pas:
  factor: 
    * extract the code for creating a new constant floating point from "factor" into a new function "real_const_node_from_pattern"
    + allow the parsing of postfixoperators for integer constants if a "." is encountered
  + postfixoperators: check for a "misstyled" floating point number if an ordinal const (not an enum and not a boolean) is encountered (the code is already partially prepared for type helper support)

359a228085 Fix one problem type of Mantis #23546. A record must not contain a static array that uses itself as an element type (in can contain a dynamic array however) otherwise an infinite loop is encountered when checking whether the record needs special init/final code. 
pdecvar.pas, read_record_fields:
  * if the def of the field is a static array then use the array's element def (the final element def if it is a multi dimensional array) to check for whether this is the current record type

o support for the new codepage-aware ansistrings in the jvm branch
   o empty ansistrings are now always represented by a nil pointer rather than
     by an empty string, because an empty string also has a code page which
     can confuse code (although this will make ansistrings harder to use
     in Java code)
   o more string helpers code shared between the general and jvm rtl
   o support for indexbyte/word in the jvm rtl (warning: first parameter
     is an open array rather than an untyped parameter there, so
     indexchar(pcharvar^,10,0) will be equivalent to
     indexchar[pcharvar^],10,0) there, which is different from what is
     intended; changing it to an untyped parameter wouldn't help though)
   o default() support is not yet complete
   o calling fpcres is currently broken due to limitations in
     sysutils.executeprocess() regarding handling unix quoting and
     the compiler using the same command lines for scripts and directly
     calling external programs
   o compiling the Java compiler currently requires adding ALLOW_WARNINGS=1
     to the make command line
