a25ebbba3e + added volatility information to all memory references
o separate information for reading and writing, because e.g. in a
try-block, only the writes to local variables and parameters are
volatile (they have to be committed immediately in case the next
     instruction causes an exception)
o for now, only references to absolute memory addresses are marked
     as volatile
o the volatily information is (should be) properly maintained throughout
all code generators for all archictures with this patch
o no optimizers or other compiler infrastructure uses the volatility
     information yet
o this functionality is not (yet) exposed at the language level, it
is only for internal code generator use right now

179c1ab328 * changed ttemp*node.tempinfo^.flags to a private field, and added setters
and getters for the ttemp*node classes instead
o this will allow descendants to prevent certain flags from being added
or removed. E.g. for LLVM, certain temps must never be put in registers
because it cannot typecast a value in a register from a non-record/array
type to an array type without forcing it to memory (so if that is done
on an lvalue, the result will be written to the memory temp instead of
     to the register)

symbol is defined
o removed all places where AB_INDIRECT symbols were explicitly generated
   o only generate AB_INDIRECT symbols for AT_DATA on systems_indirect_var_imports

2bd2e03309 * no longer use the synthetickind field of a procdef to determine whether
it's an automatically generated getter/setter, but a procoption. This
way we no longer have to save/restore the synthetickind procdef field
to/from ppu's. This way we can modify the field also after the interface
has been parsed without affecting the crc (e.g. when creating wrappers
for high level targets for routines that are only declared as "external"
    in the implementation)

996e325175 * converted range checking for open arrays/array of const from the code
generator to the typecheck pass, so that it also works for platforms
that use the parentfpstruct way to handle accesses to nested frames
in case the array has been migrated to such a parentfpstruct
o additionally, the number of comparisons for such range checks
has been reduced from 3 (for signed indices) or 2 (for unsigned
indices) to 1 in all cases
o the range checking code is disabled for the JVM target, as the
JVM automatically range checks all array accesses itself anyway

fa3b0ca312 * support marking defs created via the getreusable*() class methods as
"don't free even if not registered"; use for defs that may not be written
to a ppu file, but that must nevertheless survive the compilation of the
    current module
  * mark all defs created for para locations as "don't free even if not
registered", because we don't discard and recalculate all para locations
after a module has been compiled (since that's not needed)
o solves issues if the paralocations for a routine in the interface of
unit A are calculated while the implementation of unit B gets
compiled, and a new reusable type is allocated at that point which
is not used anywhere else (after r32160)

2cea723a0d * only write the parts of the unit localsymtables that are actually needed:
the defs and syms (recursively) referred by inline routines and by the WPO
    info
o defs and syms are no longer added immediately to the module's deflist/
symlist, even if they are created as "registered". Instead,
"doregister=true" simply means "add it to the symbol table at the
     top of the symtable stack"
o normally only when a sym/def is deref'ed, it gets added to the module
     symlist/deflist and defid/symid gets a (unique) value
o in cases where we use(d) the defid to construct unique names within the
current module, you now have to call call the tdef.new unique_id_str()
method. If the def was not yet registered, we will reserve room for it
in the deflist (to get a unique id), but the defid gets set to a
negative value computed from its position in the deflist. Should it
have to be written to the ppu file later on, the defid will be
modified to the actual position in the deflist. For both values,
new unique_id_str() will return the same result so that references
to this def before and after actual registrations are the same (needed
for the JVM backend, but also a good principle in general)

Overall: don't directly use symid/defid anymore to get unique identifiers,
but use tdef.new unique_id_str() instead (if necessary, a similar routine
     for tsym can be added)

The result is the ppu file size gets reduced significantly after its big
increase as a result of the high level typed constant builder (which creates
a lot of defs). The result is even more efficient than before, as other
unneeded defs/syms from the localsymtables don't get saved/restored anymore
   either.

627c83e828 * when creating a bare procdef copy, don't copy the funcret parameter.
This is useful if you want to change the calling convention of the copy.
o call insert_funcret_para() after creating a bare copy
  * don't copy aliasnames of copied procdefs either (can at best result
    in duplicate symbol errors)

8634aa8ad2 * fixes for the support for overriding properties on the JVM target:
o only create an accessor wrapping the inherited accessor at a
potentially lower visibility level if the overriding property
itself does not specify a different accessor to use
   o simplified code
   o tests

5fa09fa2f4 * changed tcallnode.fforcedprocname from shortstring into tsymstr,
so it doesn't truncate mangled names for the JVM target (it's
    used there since r27149)

shortstring, but the WPO devirtualization functionality is
     still limited to shortstrings internally

b57c95043f + support overriding tdef/tsym methods with target-specific functionality:
o made all (non-abstract) tdef and tsym constructors virtual
   o added c*def/c*sym classref types for every (non-abstract) t*def/t*sym
     class
o added cpusym unit for every architecture that derives a tcpu*def/tcpu*sym
class from the base classes, and initialises the c*def/c*sym classes with
them. This is done so that the llvm target will be able to derive from
the tcpu*def/sym classes without umpteen ifdefs, and it also means that
the WPO can devirtualise everything because the c* variables are only
     initialised with one class type
o replaced all t*def/t*sym constructor calls with c*def/c*sym constructor
     calls

26b53607f8 + added method reference_reset_base with support for different pointer types to
the high level code generator. All hlcg code, except for the jvm code
generator, updated to use the new method. I didn't update jvm (it still uses
the method from cgutils), because I'm not familiar with that platform, so I
  might get the types wrong.
